Great Zimbabwe University students musical outfit, Team Fusion, has recorded an album that is due for release anytime soon.

Announcing the imminent release of the album titled Dangwe, one of Team Fusion mentors and music lecturer, Shadreck Dzingai predicted that it will be a hit with music fans as it covers different music genres to cover all tastes from Afro traditional, r’n’b, gospel, house, to reggae.
Team Fusion is a university band comprising five female and five male students musicology students and others drawn from other Departments in the University. Dzingai said the group was named Team Fusion because of its ability to sing different music genres ranging from Afro Traditional, reggae, gospel, house to r’n’b.
The album is aptly named Dangwe which simple means the first child as it is the group’s first album. The album has eight tracks all sung by students under the mentorship of music lecturers Dzingai and Praise Zinhuku.
The album was being recorded by an award winning producer Munya Vialy at Vialy Studios in Harare.
The producer has made artists such as Sulumani Chimbetu’s Nyuchi and.Jah Prayzah’s songs Tsviriyo, Kumbura Mhute, and Eriza hits.
Besides the two top artistes, Viya has also worked with Energy Mutodi, Somandla Ndebele, Diana Samkange, Pah Chihera and Tocky. Dzingai said given the students’ talents and the producer’s prowess there was no doubt that Dangwe will be a successful project.
